A large steam drum was grit blasted and prime coat painted for a customer at our blasting and coating facility. The steam drum is the most important part of a boiler because it is where all the steam and water passes through. It was crucial that the drum be handled carefully and that no undue stress was put on the product, since it's role in managing the division of steam and water in a boiler system is paramount to how efficiently the system will operate.
