Furnace #2 is a car-bottom design. It has the ability to generate the highest temperatures of any furnace at our plant (2250F). The size of the furnace accommodates small to medium-sized components with a total load capacity of 75 tons.

Coupled with this furnace are two 26,000 gallon tanks for quench and temper processes. One tank is filled with a polymer solution and one with water. Each tank is sized to accommodate up to a full furnace load.  Each tank is temperature controlled and mechanically agitated to produce a highly uniform quench regardless of the size or geometry of the part being treated.
