Furnace #5 is a “top-hat” design - the furnace chamber moves on an off the hearth vertically by lifting it with an overhead crane. This furnace has a relatively small footprint and a load capacity of 100 tons, making it well-suited for small products.

Furnace #5 is capable of reaching a maximum temperature of 1900 F.

In order to maximize productivity, two hearths are used, so that one can be accessible to load, unload or let product air-quench while the furnace is heating products on the second hearth.
