Welded structures such as tanks and pressure vessels require careful heat treating to relieve stress that forms during the welding process. To prevent potentially catastrophic failure, heat treatment must be done before they are put into service.

Our #1 furnace is particularly useful in this regard since it easily accommodates extremely large structures. Since we can connect up to 36 thermocouples for monitoring the temperatures on a large product, we can ensure highly accurate uniformity in the stress-relief process.
